The dinosaur can express a number of emotions including joy, annoyance and sorrow using built-in dinosaur noises. He can make dinosaur sounds which are used to express joy, sorrow and anger. The Pleo Dinosaur is also capable of getting tired, responding to tiredness by going for a sleep. He is just like a living creature in the way he moves, looks and behaves as well as the sounds he makes. The Pleo Dinosaur Ugobe Life Form is a scientifically accurate dinosaur. It is similar to a real-life animall with its unpredictable behaviour. Ugobe Pleo explores the environment around him interacting with people and also other toy dinosaurs.

The Pleo Dinosaur Ugobe Life Form is customised with over 100 gears and 14 motors for intelligent, highly-articulated movement with motors which feedback from a sensor. This allows the Pleo dinosaur to shut down during trauma to avoid internal damage. When hurt, Pleo will display reactions such as a limp although you can nurture him back to recovery if you give him your time.
